Here are some sneak peak pictures of the photo shoot we had with our sweet little boy. Our photographer was so happy to use some of her new born props, only to be disappointed that this big boy couldn't fit into most of them because he was either too big or too long. Regardless she did an amazing job with this squirmy child:) So Last Sunday my water broke at 1:45am. I was able to take a shower and mentally prepare myself:) I was having 5 min. apart contractions and by time we were at the hospital they were every 2-3 min. I was at a 7 when we arrived and FINALLY was given the epidural at an 8. I seriously didn't remember the contractions hurting as badly with Takoda, cause let me tell you it hurt! Of course my Dr. wasn't on call, so when I was ready to push at 6am the Dr. who was on call said to wait until 7am when I get there. I told my mom and sister they could come in the room. (Kate didn't want to but I pretty much told her it's for her own good, but to stay at the top by my head). During the deli every, picture this: Mom is on the chair out of the nurses and dr. way, but a blank stare, Kate in a corner about 5 feet from my bed near the top of my head, Todd is no where to be found. Come to find out, Kate says she'll never give birth. Mom was told to breath by one of the nurses (mom says it's because she was so emotional:) And todd was found out in the hall looking pale. It's all good though, b/c really I just wanted this baby out and I wasn't looking for the faces I knew, I'm that person who doesn't want anyone to touch or talk to me. Well with lots of pushing this baby boy was stuck (just like Takoda was) but this time sunny side up. The Dr. used the vacuum twice, and when that popped off both times, we used forceps. And FINALLY he came out. They had the c-section room all set up for me but luckily we didn't need to use it. I was and am SO grateful for our healthy boy. Really I'm grateful for the patient Dr. I had. I still think if I had my Dr. she would have just stuck me in the c-section room ( not too fond of her). I still can't believe we're a family of 4 and how much you can love another child like the first. Takoda is adjusting pretty good for a 2 year old and as always a big help in the house. I love having Todd home from work to help out...I dread the day he goes back! I'll post more pics soon when I get them.
