You Need An Apology...

Sorry for the lack of blogging, I forgot my camera at my brother's house. Oh and starting in Jan. I'm so blogging a couple of times a week...well we'll see. Don't hold me to that;) Merry Christmas!

What? It's December?!

Where did November go?...It's time for a hair trim and it's time for a Christmas tree. Todd and I decided we'll do a real Christmas tree this year! Let's go in rewind for just a sec....

Todd's siblings came to the parents house for Thanksgiving this year. We had too much to eat, as always but loved the company of the Bliss'.

The Parents
One night we all went out to eat. Dad ordered a chocolate shake. Mom wanted to share. I looked over and this is what I saw...eww gross I know...but I said hold that pose, let me get out my camera. Kate was like, "You would have a camera on you." (that was besides the point) Anyway cute pic huh?:)

Can you Believe it?Takoda will be 1 on Thursday! I have thought about how much life has changed so much this past year and I can truly say, I love every single day!

I can't believe how much motherhood makes me a cry baby. When I see starving children on TV...or any kind of heart ache concerning a child, I just want to hug Takoda so tight and never let him leave the house....k so i may be exaggerating a tad...But I'm so blessed to have a little boy, who shows so much love and makes me smile even when my eyes are half way shut in the morning:) Love You Takoda!

...No Easy Way Out (Rocky IV) to my 1/2 marathon (13.1 mi) run! This song helped get to the finish line! Results: 2:05, overall 222 place, age group 39th. My goal time was 2:10, so i'm pretty happy with the time. The race couldn't have been in a more beautiful place, we began on the top of Snow Canyon and finished at Snow Canyon high school. My running buddy, Heather was awesome,we didn't stop once. By mile 11 the emotions were high and I just wanted to cry b/c of this great accomplishment (and b/c of this song...haa haa i felt like Rocky working out). Anyway, once I saw my family at the end, the tears came....I soon realized no goal is too high to set for myself. I'm so grateful for Erika and Heather, for helping me train. Thanks girls! And sooo onto our next race?...we'll see... style="visibility:visible;">

what were you for Halloween? Takoda was a vampire bat, and I the black widow. Angela and Rachel as you can see were beautiful fairy's! Isn't he the cutest vampire bat?

The web on my face took me a good 1/2 hr. Seriously how come it took me so long?...I dunno but i finally got it down, so if you ever need a spider web drawn on your face just let me know...:)

We went to my parents trunk or treat as well as ours. Between the two Todd and I will be eating candy for weeks...poor Takoda... don't worry Todd lets him take licks of his suckers:)

Have you Carved Your Pumpkin Yet?

...we did 2 weeks ago and the poor pumpkin is already moldy and sunken in...I blame it on the weather. Our cute little Takoda helped us and enjoyed every minute of it!

we couldn't keep it out of his mouth...who knows maybe it will help him grow hair on his chest...haa haa

We gave him another hair cut, and the poor guy looks like he has a 40 yr old hairy back!:)

Todd turns 29 on Tuesday and is just so excited it's not 30! Happy Almost Birthday!

I've been able to celebrate 7 years so far in wishing Todd a happy birthday. Every year he has a chocolate on chocolate on chocolate cake to celebrate. That's not the name of the cake, it just has to be filled with lots and lots of chocolate;) When October comes around, everyday i'm reminded that his birthday is coming up. I love him for that:)...Here are a couple of things that i love about my Toddy and what keeps me on my toes.

- He loves, loves loves loves loves pizza

-He loves to Hike, but not too far...

-He loves to sit around a camp fire, but not to camp

-Loves to garden, and spends a lot of time out on it.

-He is always improving his mind by learning new things. lately it's been tiling

-Every year, his face lights up when Monopoly comes to McDonald's (which by the way he just won an XBOX 360!!! )

-He loves Creed from The Office

-Gets along with the most random people, doesn't have a certain type of friends

-Gets emotional in every kind of way when his NY Giants play or Red Sox

-Loves to go on walks after dinner

-Can eat anything and look great! :(

Don't you just love this kid?...

Takoda is 10 months, 11 next week. He loves to eat our food rather than his own. Flirts with the ladies by staring, til he has their attention, then hiding behind mom while smiling, and then doing this over and over. He stands on his tippy toes to get what he wants. Shakes his head no when he doesn't want to get out of his bath. Knows when an airplane is flying overhead, by sticking his arm up (instead of pointing) to tell you. Stops whatever he's doing when a dog barks, and says, "Da Da"... And best of all, when i say, "give me a kiss", he shyly bends his head foward, for me to kiss him! Sorry this video is sideways, I guess you do funny things when your in a hurry to catch something on camera. Anyway this is a short video of takoda and his hippo, this cute toy eats balls and then spits them in the base of the toy. He loves this thing. P.S. Takoda takes about 3 steps before getting too excited and falling, but in no time this little boy of mine... not baby boy...but my little boy will be walking...sad i know:(

Bonnie Springs Petting Zoo

It is just too beautiful to stay inside these days, so we headed out to the petting zoo! Yes the red rock one, where the animals look like their all diseased:) (not anymore kate, their looking better) Anyway we had fun and love this fall weather!

Makeover...

our upstairs bathroom needed our special touch to bring out it's true potential:) I'm mad i didn't post the gross linoleum we had in there but it was linoleum enough said. Dad showed Todd how to lay tile, which i'm excited for...cause you know whats next?... our bathroom and downstairs. So Todd and dad were sweating like crazy, and with no sweat bands in the house, we came up with this great idea (a gym towel and head band)... Maybe i'll start my own sweat head towel line:)

10 mo. & Loves to Chow Down...

so the other day i was preparing Takoda's lunch and he was becoming impatient. So i found the closest thing (an avocado) and handed it to him to keep him occupied. I turned around and this is what i found.

He took one huge bit, kept the skin in the side of his cheek and keep digging his teeth in to the delicious avocado, hesure loved it.... and screamed when i took it away. Who Knew!:)

Takoda loves balloons and bouncy balls. Between these two objects, he keeps himself busy.

Did you miss me?

It's been about a month since I've last blogged and yes i feel as though you all don't know me anymore:) Here's what we've been up to...

The Walker Clan

A couple weeks ago John and Azha came drove all the way from Omaha to visit family before starting another semester at Creighton. Nahoa was so funny, especially when he would say Kali-phoo and then laugh. Kali-phoo is our nick name for Kate:) p.s. Miya is 3 mo. older than Takoda, does this tell you anything...

As you know, Takoda loves swings...we took off to St. George one day just to get out of Vegas, and do some shopping and eating at our favorite spots.One of my good friends Anela has two boys. They love Takoda as if he was there brother. They look out for him and say to bigger boys in the park," Hey give that water balloon back to Takoda!" Or they move things out of his way so he won't eat 'em or hurt himself. For sometime now he has been crawling up the stairs. He knows though not to go any further than the 2nd step before mommy is behind him. Takoda officially has 6 teeth. 4 on top 2 on the bottom. This pic was taken a bit ago so now they have grown in a bit more. Last week we took off to Salt Lake City to visit family and say goodbye/hi to todd's family who flew in from CT. His little sister Erika starts college at BYU-I.

We visited my grandparents who have a little dog. From day 1 when Takoda was about 6 mo. they got along and love being around each other. Awww

KATE...

another victory of coming and going:) She came home for a break and is off to Idaho to finish her junior year. Our inside joke is that the economy is keeping her in school. So yeah she'll be going for another couple years:)
