1 mo.and loving milk like never before...
Our little Takoda is growing so fast. He loves eating, which really isn't surprising since he comes from both Todd and I:) Takoda loves smiling even though most of the time it's when he's sleeping. So about 2 weeks ago I had him safely on the bed while i was in the bathroom and all of a sudden I hear him crying very loudly, I know something is wrong, so i rush in...i find that his hand had grabbed a huge chunk of his own hair and would not let go...poor guy:) Another quick story; So we were both sleeping on the bed. I woke up to him exploding in his diaper. I reached over to put the changing pad underneath him and with droopy eyes began to change him. As I was wiping his little behind..yep he exploded again..and because I had his legs up in the air the poop shot straight at me, landing on my chest and proceeded to drip down onto my stomach. I was in shock...of course his face is as if nothing happened. I reached over to get more wipes...and while doing so I forgot to cover his dingy..so now he is peeing all over the wall and bed...I was like, you've got to be kidding...Then I look over and he has spit up and is now coughing because I have him on his back, so i hurry and put him on his side, not know what else could possibly happen. He was one happy kid though after all was said and done...talk about a fun way to wake up! :)

Family

Thanksgiving this year was so much fun. It has been so busy since Takoda was born. So many people have come to visit, my cousins from Zuni came and my dear friend Tamara flew in from Maryland.

Then as a Thanksgiving surprise Clint and Jennelle flew in from Chicago! Everyone was home and so what else do you do when everyone is together?...Family Pictures:)!!! All 15 of us went to Sears to get pictures done, you know I was thrilled 1 week after having Takoda...:) But the photos turned out great and will post once we get them. Can you believe there are 5 grandchildren already?

Now that I have a moment I'm posting some recent pictures of Takoda. He and I are doing well. It's been nice having so much help, although most of the time I just want to do it myself:) I'm trying to get rest, but it's hard when it's December and all you want to do is decorate or shop for presents:) I love being a mom and really can't believe it....I and Todd are truly blessed with a healthy child and are so greatful for all of the support we've had!

Takoda Walker Bliss

Can you believe he was born early. Tuesday night I woke up every hour experiencing intense contractions 2 an hour. By 8:00 in the morning I was having them about every 7-8 min. I had my last dr. appt. scheduled that day at 2:00. I called saying I don' t know if I should wait until then, can I come in earlier. They said yep..how about 1:00. Todd and I took the overnight bag just in case and off we went. The Dr. said wow, your at a 6-7 and 100%..get her a wheel chair. Luckily the dr. office is connected to the hosptial, so I was in my room getting iv's stuck into me in no time:) Finally at 9:27 p.m. our little Takoda was born. It has been such a whirl wind but loving every minute of it. Todd and I are so happy and love looking at our little boy. I'm getting new born photos done this week, so i'll post some of those later. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Todd, the parents and I have been so busy getting the house in order for our little family. I feel as though i've been packing, repacking, unpacking and organizing consecutively! But I think i'm finally sane and ready for this new adventure. I know i haven't posted recent pictures of my pregnant self, so i will Sunday, since that is the day we girls usually look our best:) I went to the dr.'s last Wed. and she said i'm at a good 2 and 70%. So i'm hoping he really does come before Thanksgiving. I'll keep all of you posted on my next visit this Wed! Hope you all had a great week!

Drum Roll Please....

Although apt. living has been a blast:)...I'm happy to announce we will be moving into a HOUSE! Finally right? The house hunting has been such an adventure. Because our focus was on foreclosure's it was an adventure we mentally weren't ready for...But somehow conquered everything that came our way. So pretty much if you have any questions about home buying Todd & I are here to answer anything and give you our trustworthy opinion:) Truly we are so excited and can't wait for our new mortgage:) ...j/k! We can't wait for the new beginnings we will be experiencing this next month. With our little "TJ" coming the 21st and closing on Monday, we can't be more thrilled with the changes about to take place!

Haaa so Todd seriously sings really well...if you can hear him in that rare moment that is:) So he doesn't so much like to sing in public,(such as in church) he says b/c he can't read music and the only time he really was able to learn the hymns were on the mission so he only knows the songs in Spanish...good excuse right...but when he's with his guitar and no one in the room he's really good. Oh when he hears his favorite artist on the radio, he's hilarious in trying to sing along with them...he pretends he is the artist and pretends he's capable of hitting all the the high, low..or whatever notes...really it's a fun adventure in the car when a good song comes on.
Who is smarter? Okay do all my answers have to be Todd. I guess....yes todd is smarter. He isn't only book smart he's street smart as well. He has taught me so much these past years. So sometimes I will say.."Did you know...blah blah blah" and he'll be like oh yeah and blah blah blah...So now I think..ooh I got him...Did you know Britney's Spears little sister Jamie Spears is rumored to being pregnant..and he'll say..yeah i heard that the other day on the radio...I just can't seem to win:)
Who does the laundry? Both. I would like to say me..but he's really good about it. I fold and put away...that should have been the question..who folds and puts away!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me! Finally Me!
Who cooks dinner? uhhhh both? Yeah ever since being pregnant, in the first 2 trimesters cooking wasn't my thing...I never felt like eating anything that usually went together...so todd would have to pick up the slack and cook awesome dinners. I've turned into liking to bake now, more than cook.
Who drives? Todd...Although I think 1/2 the time I should. I still have to remind him where to turn, where we're going...he kinda just doesn't think clearly when on the road:) is that bad?
Who's the first to say when their wrong? We are now both good at this. In the beginning of the marriage I would say Todd. I was bad at admitting it...but after many conversations:) and help...:)haa haa i've learned to admit it and go on from there.
Who kissed who first? It was mutual...we were watching The Ring at his buddies house. Good times...good times...
Who asked out who first? Todd asked me! He walked me out to my car after we met at a mutual friends apt. and asked if I'd like to go to the movies that next weekend with him. We saw The Recruiter.

4th Folder, 4th Picture...

A fun tag is going around, you look inside your fourth picture folder and which ever is the 4th picture you have to post it. Well as you can see, It is the infamous Kate! This picture was taken in '06 in Layton, UT. Kate came up to visit and I tried to convince her that she needed a myspace account so we could find long lost people:) I somehow got her to take some profile shots..and this so happens to be one of them:) So your thinking she opened an account right?? Nope..she was and is still so against it..so all in all i guess i've kept these pictures of her just in case she had changed her mind. (p.s. she would like me to mention that this isn't the first time I've tried to convince her to do something psychotic..she has stories and stories of how I've tried to talk her into things she is reluctant to try...for the most part she does what I tell her to do...this is prob. the only time she's gone against my wishes:) haa haa) poor girl. P.P.S. She's single if there are any single men out there that like this 2 year old picture:)haahaaaa I tag my sister inlaws!

Another Birthday Come & Gone...

Todd turns 28!

What a fun filled weekend we had. Nick and Mark came down and spent some needed guy time with Todd. Saturday we went to Red Rock for some beautiful scenery and a lovely picnic at the Spring Mt. Ranch. Then later that night they were able to visit the strip and win tons of $$$ (haa j/k). The weekend came to an end and the boys had to go home. We celebrated Todd's real birthday yesterday (monday). Co-workers gave him balloons and cake. I showed up later with cupcakes (I have to admit I did good..they taste so yummy). I blind-folded Todd and had Andy meet us at a place to go carting. Then off to mom and dad's for a delicious BBQ. He had a wonderful day! Thanks for all the phone calls...he loved it!

One More Month!

My friend Lara made this adorable invitation to my baby shower. She and another friend Anela threw one for me this past Saturday. We played fun games and had amazing food! I am grateful for all their hard work in throwing me a shower...I will never forget it~ thanks girls...

Friday night, these lovely ladies also threw me a baby shower! I have been so spoiled and grateful for the many gifts Todd and I received. It is so exciting to see all the baby stuff and realize how close it is for him to join our little family. Some how, (don't ask) we forgot to take pictures:) So after everyone left we happened to grab a few...

My mom/dad surprised me with this rocking chair! I was so excited! I had so many wonderful friends come to the shower to share our little bliss excitement! I can't wait to dress our little guy in all his cute outfits. Todd is already playing with his toys:) j/k

So guess who came to visit?

You guessed it....KATE! Yep she flew down for the short weekend. This is pretty much the first time she's seen me pregnant..well w/ the hard belly pregnant, so it was fun to have her see me before he is due. I had so much fun this weekend and couldn't believe how fast time flew by.

Last month was my mom's birthday, so Todd and I gave her a gift certificate to receive a pedicure. This was her first time and she loved it..I mean who wouldn't!
Time to say goodbye...Kate as always has to go back to school. But at least she was able to enjoy herself in this 70* weather..before she headed back to the 20* snow storm:)

Welcome...

I see you've read my update and will now be joining me on my fresh new blog:) So much has happened this summer and so grateful Todd and I were able to accomplish so much. I am still teaching a 4th grade class. They were not able to hire one due to budgeting so I took over;) I will teach one more week for that particular class. Todd loves his job and will continue his "special talent" of gardening this winter. What will he grow?.... you may ask. Well according to Todd, he has a list such as broccoli.... and...well i forgot the others, but I'm sure it will do wonderful as his gardening job did this past summer.

Today is 96* and boy am I ready for it to cool off. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. We have been calling our little one TJ (Todd Junior) instead of baby. We have compiled a list of names and will bring them to the hospital to see which one he looks like. I feel him move around everyday...I love it! The poor kid is probably so tired of my voice though, hearing me teach all day:)

Last night my parents and I went over to some friends house for Sunday dinner and they shared this video clip with us. It truly is a beautiful message. Trials and tested faith always comes my way when I begin to get too comfortable with life. When everything is so wonderful, and I think boy isn't everyday so great. Boom...I get hit with a trial or something to test my faith. I have learned time and time again that I can overcome. I have a Savior who has given me the ability to use the atonement in my life. Often I forget that the atonement is having the Savior carry the burrden. He suffered so that I would not have to. He knows how I feel, and to me that is so comforting!I cannot be greatful enough for this blessing and His sacrafice...
