Eli turns 3 mo.!

Oh how we love our little Eli!

Takoda is doing much better these past couple of weeks of being more loving towards him, rather than saying "mommy look at me, i'm hitting Eli"...

Eli's eyes are still blue, but look brown here. I'm guessing they'll be hazel.

Takoda and Mommy

We spend so much time together, i'm surprised he isn't sick of me yet:) haa haa, but last night he wasn't feeling so well. We discovered it was heat stroke. Takoda was burning up like crazy. But after some sleep, lots and lots of water, meds, and a cold bath, this is how he woke up:) I secretly love it when he feels sick, b/c we love to snuggle and he does what I say haa haa.

Grip Saver! You see this phone? Well it's mine, and the case (which has a grip to it) saved it's life today. Yes, it's life. I couldn't find my phone anywhere and then it hit me... I left it on the back of our Vitara when I was done talking to Kate. Todd, decided to take that car to work today. I called his store (which by the way, he answered the phone so professionally, I found it cute) anyway, he said he'd go look out on the car...I gathered the boys and we were about to get into our car to look on our street for it, when he called and said, "It's still on the back of the car!" Did I mention our car has a spare tire on the back and that's where I placed it...on top of the covering of the spare tire. So as you can see this case literally saved my phones life and pretty much mine too:)!

Dogs

To say Takoda loves dogs is an understatement. Big ones, little ones...short, fat, doesn't matter. Well we've discovered one glitch, he's allergic.

So far it seems he's allergic to the big dogs. Smaller dogs seem to be the hypoallergenic breed and so he's fine with them. But...this is what it looks like after touching and playing with his favorite animal. Poor kid, who knows maybe it'll fade as he gets older...right? Lets hope.

And my cute little Eli. Oh how much I love this little guy:)

Takoda's Savings

We finally opened a savings account for this little guy. He has a piggy bank he keeps all of his $ in. Any birthday card he gets with money in it, and any money in our money jar we end up taking to the bank. Takoda was so happy to take it inside. It was cute, b/c while in line there were some other kids around his age and all the kids kept saying Wow...Look... or the kids were pointing at all his change. Takoda had a priceless grin on his face, as if to say," Yep I know...and it's all mine"

Memorial Day

watching the fireworks...Todd LOVES fireworks...Takoda??? ummm not so much, we found out. I think it was b/c we were so close to the set up that Takoda was so scared. It really was loud even for us adults,... Takoda ended up inside the truck where he felt a little bit more safe:)

Garden Time

As we all know, Todd has the green thumb in the family... We already have so much growing. Last night we ate our first zucchini, snap peas and cherry tomatoes...all of which was delicious!

Daddy enjoying Boy Time

Todd has been so good to stay home with the boys while I either run errands or go to mutual.

Eli
He just had his 2 mo check up today. He turned 2 mo on the 28th. Can we say BIG BOY! ... this guy weighs 15 1/2 lbs... 95% and height 23.75'' 80%. He has officially grown out of the bassinet, which is a sad day for me. I put him in his crib for the first time tonight, it's a bitter sweet feeling... We'll see how it goes. Did I mention 3mo. clothes are snug and so he's mainly wearing 6mo. Eli smiles alot and really is a good baby...I sure love my boys!

Just Ridin His Ride Takoda asks everyday to ride his bike. He loves riding w/ the big boys on our street (who are actually really nice to him). The other day he was suppose to be taking his nap, and I guess for the at least 30 min. he was peering out of his blinds, watching the boys ride their bikes and skate boards. He sure loves big boys.

Eli Stanley Bliss

3/28/11

9lbs 22in

Here are some sneak peak pictures of the photo shoot we had with our sweet little boy. Our photographer was so happy to use some of her new born props, only to be disappointed that this big boy couldn't fit into most of them because he was either too big or too long. Regardless she did an amazing job with this squirmy child:) So Last Sunday my water broke at 1:45am. I was able to take a shower and mentally prepare myself:) I was having 5 min. apart contractions and by time we were at the hospital they were every 2-3 min. I was at a 7 when we arrived and FINALLY was given the epidural at an 8. I seriously didn't remember the contractions hurting as badly with Takoda, cause let me tell you it hurt! Of course my Dr. wasn't on call, so when I was ready to push at 6am the Dr. who was on call said to wait until 7am when I get there. I told my mom and sister they could come in the room. (Kate didn't want to but I pretty much told her it's for her own good, but to stay at the top by my head). During the deli every, picture this: Mom is on the chair out of the nurses and dr. way, but a blank stare, Kate in a corner about 5 feet from my bed near the top of my head, Todd is no where to be found. Come to find out, Kate says she'll never give birth. Mom was told to breath by one of the nurses (mom says it's because she was so emotional:) And todd was found out in the hall looking pale. It's all good though, b/c really I just wanted this baby out and I wasn't looking for the faces I knew, I'm that person who doesn't want anyone to touch or talk to me. Well with lots of pushing this baby boy was stuck (just like Takoda was) but this time sunny side up. The Dr. used the vacuum twice, and when that popped off both times, we used forceps. And FINALLY he came out. They had the c-section room all set up for me but luckily we didn't need to use it. I was and am SO grateful for our healthy boy. Really I'm grateful for the patient Dr. I had. I still think if I had my Dr. she would have just stuck me in the c-section room ( not too fond of her). I still can't believe we're a family of 4 and how much you can love another child like the first. Takoda is adjusting pretty good for a 2 year old and as always a big help in the house. I love having Todd home from work to help out...I dread the day he goes back! I'll post more pics soon when I get them.

Slacker...

I know i know i'm a blogger slacker. But can i still use the excuse that i'm pregnant and thats why? I thought since the due date is almost here, i'd just update you on my pregnancy. So I went to the dr's last wed. I'm dialated to a 2. She asked when or if I wanted to be induced. I said oh no that's ok, i'll just wait it out. She said, "Really? That's really shocking to hear, almost everyone gets induced these days." I laughed and said well i've waited 9 mo. I can wait a little longer. But, like I was telling my sister in law, secretly i'm just scared of being induced. I've heard too many crazy stories. I would love to have this baby asap, but I know my body knows what it's doing (especially since i haven't even hit the official due date). I'm finally experiencing some braxon hicks and just pretty sore. I love nap time and 10pm cause that's when I go upstairs to read Hungar Games:) I love my pillows, I sleep with 5 of them. Takoda is growing so fast and really is a sweet heart. He will randomly ask how i'm doing, sometimes I say "My tummy hurts", He says "you better lay down mommy". I love the attention I get from him! So Tues. is my official due date. I was remembering that with Takoda the dr. stripped my membrane and I went into labor about 2 days later. So if nothing by Tues. I'll see if this dr. will do the same. I'll keep you all posted!!!
