Makeover...
our upstairs bathroom needed our special touch to bring out it's true potential:) I'm mad i didn't post the gross linoleum we had in there but it was linoleum enough said. Dad showed Todd how to lay tile, which i'm excited for...cause you know whats next?... our bathroom and downstairs. So Todd and dad were sweating like crazy, and with no sweat bands in the house, we came up with this great idea (a gym towel and head band)... Maybe i'll start my own sweat head towel line:)
notice in these pictures what color the walls are, I also got to work and painted the bathroom. I've decided i'm not a fan of painting. Ta-Dum!
Do you like? Now on to our next project...

10 mo. & Loves to Chow Down...
so the other day i was preparing Takoda's lunch and he was becoming impatient. So i found the closest thing (an avocado) and handed it to him to keep him occupied. I turned around and this is what i found.
He took one huge bit, kept the skin in the side of his cheek and keep digging his teeth in to the delicious avocado, hesure loved it.... and screamed when i took it away. Who Knew!:)

Takoda loves balloons and bouncy balls. Between these two objects, he keeps himself busy.

Did you miss me?
It's been about a month since I've last blogged and yes i feel as though you all don't know me anymore:) Here's what we've been up to...
The Walker Clan
A couple weeks ago John and Azha came drove all the way from Omaha to visit family before starting another semester at Creighton. Nahoa was so funny, especially when he would say Kali-phoo and then laugh. Kali-phoo is our nick name for Kate:) p.s. Miya is 3 mo. older than Takoda, does this tell you anything...
As you know, Takoda loves swings...we took off to St. George one day just to get out of Vegas, and do some shopping and eating at our favorite spots. One of my good friends Anela has two boys. They love Takoda as if he was there brother. They look out for him and say to bigger boys in the park," Hey give that water balloon back to Takoda!" Or they move things out of his way so he won't eat 'em or hurt himself. For sometime now he has been crawling up the stairs. He knows though not to go any further than the 2nd step before mommy is behind him. Takoda officially has 6 teeth. 4 on top 2 on the bottom. This pic was taken a bit ago so now they have grown in a bit more. Last week we took off to Salt Lake City to visit family and say goodbye/hi to todd's family who flew in from CT. His little sister Erika starts college at BYU-I.
We visited my grandparents who have a little dog. From day 1 when Takoda was about 6 mo. they got along and love being around each other. Awww

KATE...
another victory of coming and going:) She came home for a break and is off to Idaho to finish her junior year. Our inside joke is that the economy is keeping her in school. So yeah she'll be going for another couple years:)

GOOD BYE MY LOVER...GOOD BYE MY FRIEND...YOU HAVE BEEN THE ONE..YOU HAVE BEEN THE ONE FOR ME...
;) (name that tune)

Excuse Me I have an Announcment:
It's taken me a while to commit, but i've decided to run a 1/2 marathon! This is a big deal to me. I've technically never ran longer than 5 miles. And that my friends was in high school:) My ward has a running group. Week after week they invite me to run with them. But being stubborn (and i still am) I've declined and stuck to my own workout routine in the gym...mainly b/c i feel as though they are running like champs and I'm still in beginners level. :) Well I was approached and asked if I'd like to do the 1/2 marathon with them in St. George in Nov. I said maybe (but really thinking, no I'm okay) ...But I can't get this out of my mind, so after talking to my sister in-law Rachel and asking if she'd like to do it with me she agreed and now i've officially committed and will be running the race November 7th. I'm excited but have a lot of training, hence the race being in November:) So here i go...I'll k.i.t. about my progress!

~La Reve~
this past weekend we went to the show La Reve at the Wynn. I especially was so excited because it was a date night with this handsome guy:) It was amazing to say the least, and the best show by far on the strip. It made me sick to see how talented the performers were:) it's about a women who was purposed to by her lover and she said no...but then she saw all the bad that would happen or the good if she would have said yes...well that's what i thought. Sometimes our own perception is so different than the directors...or maybe just my perception:) But if you have a chance this is one show you can't miss!you weren't allowed to take pictures so here is the beginning and end... i know not as exciting...but it's so you think you were there too:) the first pic is a bed in the middle of the water.

the end-

Back and Missin the Good Life...

We decided last year we really wanted to see the Palmyra Pageant. My dad served his mission in upstate NY and actually participated in the pageant years ago. So we invited my parents to come along for the adventure. First we flew into CT, then made the 5 hour drive to Palmyra. It was gorgeous to say the least. So green, and guess what it didn't rain once. We visited many of the church sites and Joseph Smith's farm. The Sacred Grove was so special and peaceful. Then off to Rhode Island. We went to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful weather and huge waves! We did lots of fun things in Connecticut such as long talks around the fire, Winding Trails, boating and lots of eating, it truly was so wonderful to finally be reconnected with the Bliss family!
